    Want to use MKII W58 in MKIII

    I have an NA '87 non ABS MKIII with worn transmission bearings. I have a spare W58 from an '82 MKII and heard that they have the same ratios and are basically the same unit, but the extension housings are different to move the shifter further back on the MKIII. Has anyone here done the swap...
