What more results are you looking for?, I run 25 psi with a .030 plug gap and I have been on one set of plugs for the whole summer so far. Try that with the stock ignition. Id say they work great. Also just ran a 12.16 @118 at the track on friday, it is great to not have spark blow out at high...
UPDATE: I went to the track on friday and did a 12.16 @118.12 MPH, with a pretty average 2.10 60'. I raced a BPU mk4 that ran 13.8 @107. If I can get my 60's a bit better I will be in the 11's. We will see next friday!!!!
Also I raced the BIC 1jz swapped 89 Toyota P/U that did 12.7 at 114mph!!!
I have used most Wideband brands, and the AEM is the most durable, easy to install and use. You simply plug it in and it works great everytime. No calibrating sensors every few thousand kms etc.. I have used my AEM in many cars and use it as a portable tailpipe wideband for tuning customers...
I have seen alot of smoking 1jz twins latley, I dont know whats up with the latest JDM engines that are coming in but 75% of them seem to have blown turbo's. I guess in Japan, when the turbo's start smoking they get rid of the car instead of fixing them.
Like Turbo Drifter said, they have built in ignitors, which is why they are so great. I have heard it direct from some standalone ECU companies that the stock JZ ignitors are "junk", and they dont reccomend to use them. They only work well with a booster like MSD or HKS DLI.
Yes I may offer...
The problem is the 57 trim flows alot more air at 12 psi than the stock turbo does...... If you are right near the limit you should be able to adjust the screw at the bottom of the AFM enough to stop FC, it would be best to do this with a wideband hooked up, but it shouldnt be enough to do any...
That thing look like it works awsome!!!, will it work on a JZ?.....meaning will the tool fit inside the valve spring opening?
Changing the valve seals is an awful job with the engine in the car, I gotta get one of these.
I had fitment problems with CSF race rads too....again you get what you pay for. But yes you should return that as a defect, and see if they can upgrade to a Koyo as they fit perfect.
Alright, i have an update finally. The 1ZZ coils are installed and I have been running them for a few months now, and they work great!!. I now run a .030 plug gap and have boosted up to 25 psi and experienced zero spark blow out!!!, which wasnt possible with the stock coils unless running a .022...
Sorry guys, been so busy with other projects. I have the price list here, I just need to work out the final details before I post it up. I will have info up very very soon. But here is some basic info:
It looks like I can have pre made panels for the front seats, ie: the front seat upper...
:3d_frown: So you want to copy his kit ?, you are ridiculous !!!, use your brain and do your own R&D. As a fabricator / innovator myself, I have no respect for people that copy other peoples parts and ideas. And everyone wonders why not many companies are developing new part for these cars?, its...
The TT clutch and blade should work on stock rad setups. My car also has a Koyo Race rad and the fan hit and busted my rad. I now run the TT clutch and N/A blade which gives tons of clearence at the rad, but makes it really tight on the water neck, so I also like bigzavs trimmed each blade a bit...
Man I wish we had a real road course track like that in BC....All we have is mini track though the pits and part of the 1/4 mile track ,so lame. I guess its time for a road trip!!
Wow these milage stories suck. I get 400 kms per tank average ( 250 miles), and have gotten up to 550 kms (343 miles) on hwy trips, and this is with 780cc injectors running sequential with a Haltech PS 2000. Although if I go racing or do lots of boosting or tuning, I have gotten as low as 200...
I just picked up some brand new wholesale exhaust systems and headers from a closed down shop. The brand is Alphawerks, and they are all full 304 SS 2.5" mandrel bent and really nice parts. The mufflers also include a silencer. Would be really nice for your daily driver or you girl friends or...
