again, if the auto - 5 speed swaps with the 7m is any concession, a A/T ecu, should work fine, the only thing i might be concerned about is timing pull, but a little bit of research will let you know if aristo ecu's did that, because from as far as i know, north american supra 2jz ecus didnt.

stay with the jdm 2jz a340e, there actually pretty stout, just as good as the north american autos, could be easier, but if the chassis is already 5 speed, then just get a 1jz r154, it will safe you the hassle of getting a bellhousing for your older 7m r154 plus it will be newer and have less...

i think you can use the A/T ecu and harness, the neutral sensor just needs to be tricked or wired into the clutch depress saftey switch. yah you can run the r154, you just need tht JZ bellhousing. people have used originally auto engines with 5 speeds in the past just fine.

im also curious and interested in this as well in regards to my 1jz auto swap. im not sure who did this as well and it stopped there 1jz auto from slipping as well, we need to bring up some wiring diagrams and trace each wire to wire, it wont be hard because were just dealing with a few wires.
