Turbos need back pressure too, what would that do if you didn't have a down pipe, plus your harness would fry in about 34 seconds. After that you would roast your under the hood insulator.

Shucks.. that is never good. I run 87 in my VR4, but I drive it slow and there is no knock. When summer comes I always add 93.

Just looking at the TSRM, the codes are all the same, a severed or short to #1, #2 solenoids, and the lock up on the transmission. I would start checking to see if your grounds are all good, and also see if any wires are worn, or maybe severed..

Did this problem only occur once on you? Does it work at all now? You can get codes from the overdrive light, via TSRM. There are input from the computer for speed and such too. I would revise your wording. The folk on here don't take well to crappy spelling.

Total bummer, I as well would like to know what happen, it clearly looks like it was their fault not yours - and that is judging from angles and other things.

Don't know you - but what I do know is whenever someoen buys a Supra they're always coming back and getting another! Such a great thing about these cars is they make that happens. Right now I have a ;93 3000GT VR4, love it. But I am already buying a MKIII very soon..

Yup like he said. Most people will notice this flicker on more when they're turning the car. Fill it up a little more and it won't be coming on anymore.
