    Anyone Use These Bumper Covers?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=33EFu2IRpsQThanks for the perspectives on this form of bumper cover. There is another FRP producer that makes a line called Duraflex, where they demonstrate twisting their FRP bumper cover, to demonstrate its durability. The manufacturer is...

    Anyone Use These Bumper Covers?

My mechanic is too... Says the other two sit too low. Thanks. I went to their site and I like the looks, but how well does it stand up to driveways? Thanks for the link. I like UR car! How has that lip on the Greddy held up to driveways and parking lot stops?

    Anyone Use These Bumper Covers?

I'm interested to know their strengths and weaknesses. I intend to use them for a Supra that will see 135MPH on a regular basis on the track. Thanks.

Plan: Move Engine & Transmission Toward Cabin

Race Ready 7M At this time, I'm planning to move the motor back four inches and down an inch to place more weight in the middle of the car and lower the center of gravity. Additionally, I plan to move the seats back four inches and the pedals, as well as the steering...

This is really great info. Thanks IJ and ATM. I'll pass this along to VIP Performance. I dropped off the car Monday to start the lightening process. The cross member under the radiator will be replaced w/ chrome-moly tubing, the front and rear bumpers replaced w/aluminum in the stock form...

    Race Ready 7M

I'll be talking to members of the racing club I belong to to get a better idea on which process is most effective, and I'll post it here. IJ... Got any suggestions; MIG or TIG? I'm also going to look into using extruded, rectangular, aluminum tubing in place of the steel on both of the cross...

No, not yet. They ran out of time getting the car ready for the track. Wryann turned the coil springs to change the weight over all four wheels and that process evened up the weight on the rear corners to w/i 15LBS on corner scales.

I read on SM that welding the seams on the body will stiffen up the Supra. Which seams need welding?

    Race Ready 7M

I've begun the process of weight reduction on the Supra by purchasing these two items for about $1300 delivered: :naughty: Additionally, VIP Performance will replace the glass on the hatch and the two side windows with 3/16th, Makrolon polycarbonate. The front and rear heavy, steel crash bars...

Another way to get more weight in the rear is a transaxle... I already looked at a 2007 Tremec transaxle and torque tube for a Corvette, and that may be the way I go instead of moving the motor back four inches.

I'll be documenting this part of the project development and this time I'll include development costs. For instance: to develop the current engine plus supporting mods, cost me a little over $6K. My goal this time is to get the car lighter, improve the weight distribution, roll and pitch, and...
