My SC400 road trip through the Southwest

Sounds a lot like what I did back around this time 2006, in my first Mk3... met up with my first genuine "love" down in AZ there. Good times man, if your trip was half as rewarding as mine, I know you had an excellent time. :) Nice pictures too. Reminds me, I should head down to Monument Valley...

    The mule car

Haha, when you posted "mule" car, I thought you had something completely different in mind. I guess the word has a much more honest meaning over in your part of the world. Where I'm from, a "mule" is a vehicle used for smuggling. :p

    2jz-gte 1946 chevy truck

I'd love to see what he's done with it since then, but unfortunately, he seems to have vanished. Last log in was July 10, 2012. :(

    ***SM Member Horsepower List***

Nice powerband, looks to be quite a useable, but powerful, car. What rpm are you spinning it to when you put down that much power? Doesn't seem to be tapering off at all...

    !jz knocking sound

Mine was the crappy 3" ebay y-pipe, gotta love crappy flanges. :p As for starting it without the serp belt, make sure your battery is in good shape, because you'll be running the engine without the alternator.

Thought I would share my newly inheirited car.....

Three things: 1.) It might be an ice cream, has flateric tried licking it yet? 2.) Might be tough fitting anything bigger than an I4 in there, if I recall they are quite small. Although... F20C Honda engine... Hmm... 3.) You think the gif is retarded and annoying, wait until you meet the screen...

    Mystery Carburetor and intake

I don't recognize the carb, but that's one tree I'd stay away from... :runaway:

anybody near fairchild afb that can help my sister with her car?

Definitely not a JZ: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toyota_GR_engine#4GR-FSE Hopefully it's an easier fix than was suggested there... buddy of mine has one I'm pretty sure. :(

    Supras In Las Vegas (SILV)

If you've never been Demon, they're fun. I went to 2006, 2007, 2008, and 2010. Haven't been back since, unfortunately. Really should though, by this time next year I should have something neat cooked up for you all. ;)

    Supras In Las Vegas (SILV)

Have to say, it really is too bad Idaho is in the way, you all seem like a fun crowd. :) Would love to attend SIV (kinda sounds like a disease without the "L" in there) this year, but have WAY too much going on, not to mention I doubt any of my Supras would be up for the task this year...

Titan Mk3 carbon driveshaft weight info (R154)

Not sure if this has ever been posted anywhere before, so I figured I'd chime in. Picked one of these up recently from Titan, took a little while, but I was in no rush. When it came in, I was a bit shocked. I knew it would be light, but I had no idea just how light. On a home scale that reads...

Megan Track Series, BC Racing or Stance Super Sport Coilovers

If you haven't bought already, I've owned both the Megans and Stance SS. The Stance have pillow ball mounts all around if I recall, but it's been about a year since I installed them, so I may be mistaken. As for performance, the Megan's were decent enough for the price, but the Stance I've...

News Channel Reveals Names Of Pilots From Flight214 Crash

Believe it or not, I kinda wanted to go into journalism at one point... and then I realized who my coworkers would be. :p

    1986 AE86 Corolla GT-S Supercharged

Jeff, I hope to be able to do justice to my 87, the quality of the build / restoration that you've done here, in my modified mission. Looking good man. :)

    Looking at a Porsche 944s

No worries dude, I guess a better way to describe the Porsche was a car made by Porsche engineers, making the best of what they could from the shared parts bin of the VW group. :p As for the C5, they did indeed move the transmission to the back. Sits right between the driver/passenger and the...

    240sx or Supra?

The cars themselves were really, REALLY well built, you are correct. They'll hold up to quite a bit of abuse before calling it quits. However, you've clearly maintained your car. My point was that a LOT of the cheaper Supras on the market (and even some of the more pricey ones for that matter)...

    720 HP 7M Supra vs 600+ HP 1JZ Supra vs Ducati 1199 Panigale S

Interesting, makes me think my car *might* have a chance against my friend's old GSXR1100... but it did dyno 220 at the wheel, so I'm not holding my breath. :p Also, who messes with a car equipped with a parachute?

turbocharger sizing question regarding spool time and horsepower.

I'm not terribly familiar with the Holset turbos, but if memory serves me, the "R" in Garrett turbo part numbers designates a ball bearing CHRA, correct? If so, I would think that GT35 would be a nice setup for mid range power, quick spool, and easily capable of 450whp. Hopefully some more...

1UZ-FE MK3 through the Mountains of NC

Two things: -Is that the sound of your tires rubbing on occasion? -Also, the honking thing when you pass someone, was that just a show of appreciation? Not too familiar with that custom where I'm from. Then again, where I'm from, people don't usually drive courteously, much like that turd in...
