Oh I was a little confused the way you said it but yes my car is doing the same thing accept it doesn't stay on always after the key turned off it will randomly turn on instead
No my car turns off right away but what happens is sometimes the ignition turns on as if I turned the key on but the key will be completely off and out of the ignition. It doesn't always happen but I have seen it happen a lot.
Ok so I unplugged the ignition switch and checked the connectors for power. 2 of the connecters had power and the rest did not so what should be my next move now that I found the 2 connecters that have power with the ignition disconnected?
So far the battery is fine so I dont think it has done it with the cig fuse out and I sat in the car for about 20 min turning the key on and off and it didnt do it at all.
Ok so I went out today hooked the battery up and went to go pull the radio fuse and found it was already out and the car was still doing it. Also I doesn't do it all the time sometimes it will stay on sometimes it will blink on and off and sometimes it won't do it all so I'm still lost.
I'm going to try this tomorrow because I noticed that the radio wires look like they were just thrown back together quick because the previous owner wanted to keep a deck he might of had in it.
The radio was staying on in my supra when the key was turned completely off so I removed the radio and found that the radio was removed before and an aftermarket deck was in before. Since I took the radio out now everything stays on with the key completely off and it acts as if the cars on. Not...
One thing I completely forgot since I removed my stock radio I haven't installed a deck yet and I have to disconnect my battery when I'm not using the car because when it's connected the car acts as if the keys on even if its ALL the way off and out, the door noise stays on when the doors closed...
Alright I spent about 20 mins today while it was idling using a piece of wood to listen to all different spots and the noise is definitely the loudest on the center of passenger side valve covers. I'm gonna take off the valve covers this weekend is there anything I should look for like stuff...
I tried using a long metal file and hose to try and listen and when I touched the front and back of the valve covers I Hurd the motor humming as it should but when I touched the middle I could her a distinct knocking sound clear as day so now I'm thinking its just something with the valves any...
I tried taking a video this is fully warmed up with all ignition wires connected.

Ok I tried unplugging the ignition wires one by one and revving it a few times each and the sound did not change at all, it did not get worse and it did not get quieter or go away. So I'm wondering what I should do now
Ill try unplugging the ignition wires one by one and see what happens. I took the stock radio out and it definitely had an aftermarket deck before because the wires are all reconnected by being twisted together I'm gonna be putting an a/m deck in anyway so ill just leave the radio out for now
