1jz crank pulley bolts are even tighter than 7m. With the engine removed, I bolt a bracket onto the rear of the engine with a bolt going into the back of the crank and and another bolt into the back of the outer engine. Then get a 6 foot or so cheater pipe .
It sounds like you ended up with a W58 driveshaft. The R154 driveshaft and the automatic driveshaft ( either turbo or na ) are hard to tell apart at a glance as the front yoke and diameter of the piping are the same,( there is only a couple inches difference in the lenght of the front half of...
There is gonna be a lot of sad CFC people come January and they get a 1099 form to be filled with their Federal Income Tax for the $4500 they recieved for their trade.
There is a small plastic clip made a little like a clothes pin which keeps tension on the door to make it open when the cable is pulled, also gives slight resistance against you when you shut it. Without this part intact, one would have to have another person pry open on the door at the same...
has anyone had this problem before ? Just installed a 7MGTE in car, and where the small coolant line goes from the throttle body to lower intake just above front knock sensor, is a steady drip, right down onto knock sensor :( solutions?
In USA Supras I have only seen one style 89 wheel and it is regular 3 spoke NON airbag Black ONLY. First air bag wheel was 90, but I believe the 89 wheel is the most popular of any year and I have seen 89's put on EVERY year. A "mint" 89 steering wheel is worth 2-3 times a 90-92. As far as the...
Supra steering wheels can be removed quite easily with an inexpensive puller, the type which you thread 2 bolts into the threaded holes which are directly across from each other, then start tightening the puller against the hub. ( Of course the center holding nut has to first be removed) doesnt...
Give the engine a good inspection when it comes, I have parted out several 1jz's and there are MANY issues in their arrival condition. I purchased one set from Jhot and both turbos were locked up solid, I have seen 2 or 3 with so much gunk ( looked like the oil had NEVER been changed ) on the...
3 different driveshafts in mk3's....na m/t has smaller diameter spline shaft going into tranny and entire shaft except for yoke bolting onto differential are of a smaller gauge pipe. Turbo automatic driveshafts have same diameter pipe as m/t turbo and same spline gears but they are a different...
Well my son and I just got a chance to check, the car does have a code 14 i just talked to Aarron at Drift Motion and the ecu is boxed and heading to him. i just don't understand how one can go down hill that fast.
A few years ago the construction company I worked for bought a Grove 50 ton Crane from Europe which was right hand drive. After the experience of driving it a few hundred miles, I would advise anyone who thinks that a right hand drive vehicle might be fun.... find someone who has one and take...
On an 89 steering wheel, there is one phillips screw you must first remove from the back going through to the "cover part" from the center section. Once this is removed, gently pry the outer center cover off. It requires a little force because of 2 plastic locking tabs which hold it in place...
I am, ( well for the most part ..lol) especially for a daily driver, AND for lasting value. Most "upgrades" added are "downgrades" in the lasting value. You can see an mk3 on eBay iin average condition with $5k in upgrades and it will bring maybe $3K, whereas a pure stock one in similiar...
Parts of the previous statements are correct, some are not. I have parted and owned several 91-92s and EVERY gray interior part in a 91-92 is different from the previous years in one way or another. Even the gray cloth seats in 91-92,though they are very similar in color to 89-90 have a slightly...
Ive been driving for 33 years and logged many hundreds of thousands of miles. Driving style has lots to do with mpg, ( speaking as a life long "lead foot" I KNOW what I am talking about). Use cruise control all you can, take off with in "reason", slow down gradually when you are going to have to...
