So small update, picked up a set of these for the Braids last night:
They are Dunlop Direzza Sport Z1 Star Spec, got them in 255/40/17 and 235/45/17, the Braids have been fully restored and better than new. Hopefully some time next week I'll have the wheels mounted on the rims and get...
I'm looking to max the turbo out, for dyno purposes only...I won't drive it at it's max output. I've owned the turbo for about 8 years and haven't fully run it on a car, I'm hoping to get about 450rwhp out of it but won't lose sleep if it gets a lot less. In my opinion the MK2 is scary with...
In factory trim the 84 MK2 weighs approximately 3000lbs, I've added a few pounds with some of the items above and plan to weigh it at the dump as soon as the car is done.
Honestly...even with me getting this done ATI still considers this a "custom application" which means this damper costs...
Well...my first build thread on this forum was a total failure as I sadly ended up selling my MK3. I miss it dearly but with a one car garage and 3 cars it just made no sense, one car had to go and the MK3 needed more work than the MK2. I don't go advertising this on the MK2 boards but if both...
Folks...i put up a post here dedicating a portion of the next months profits to help Phil out here. Please click the link and have a read and PLEASE either on your own or through other means try to find a way to help out.
Phil...I've said all I can say in the link above. You'll be in my...
I've dealt with Revolution Brakes Company a few times before; they are the company that bought out or at least bought the designs from Precision Brakes Company. If you guys recall back in 2006 i believe there was a group buy for their product; at the time I think that Horsepowerfreaks was...
Ok;
so we(aka I) officially suck for not posting this earlier :cry:. Been meaning to post it for ages...anyway...won't kill the thread with excuses.
If you're reading this and we haven't posted too late we'd love to have you make it. I promise 150Billion% that next year we will post it...
When I bought a Doug Thorley for my MK2 back in 2003 I actually asked them to pull it off the line before it went into for coating. I don't trust any of the 'aftermarket' coating on headers these days; I took the header and had coated locally. 6 years later although the shine is gone the...
Robert;
I was under the impression that the MK2 TRD was a rebranded Thorley; so if that's the case and they didn't make a MK3 Thorley then I can't see there being a MK3 TRD. I'm sure someone here has an older TRD catalog, that would be a good place to start looking.
Ok so I have some good/bad/interesting news. We had a MK3 in the shop last thursday to mount 'the tri-mill copy' and guess what: it didn't fit. The motor mount bracket used to bolt the 7MGE to the MK3 Chassis is a few inches back from where it is on MK2 Chassis. This change in mounting point for...
Binxy69...I sent you a PM. There's a chap in the UK organizing group shipping through me for ES bushings. I don't' have the link but check out your pm and get back to me if you need more info.
Soupra, in the next few days I'm going to be posting my parts catalog so keep your eyes open for that.
Duane, thanks again...glad the parts got to you in time...enjoy.
