i was trying to splice an l.e.d into the wiring for the light in the footwell. i couldn't get it to work so i said fuck it and respliced the main wires together and then they didn't work. Also the dome light didn't work after that either but i rewired that so it'll work if you push the buttons...

When I first got my 87 Supra Turbo all the lights worked in the interior. Then I messed around trying to wire something up and I must have messed something up. Since then the key cylinder light, driverside footwell area light, and the fog lights haven't worked. So I was wondering what is wrong...
yeah that 89+ engine should work perfectly fine in there as well. i would leave it in and get a new 87,88 ecu and wiring harness and put the old injectors in, even though I think they were all low impedence on N/A's but maybe different plugs.
yeah you should of stuck with an 87 or 88 engine. or else bought an 89+ body wiring harness because 3 or 4 plugs are different from the 87 - 89 plugs and pull out your 87-88 harness.
I have had 4 in the past 2 years. 87 Turbo Targa 5-Speed/ 89 N/A Targa Auto/ 87 Turbo Sunroof Auto/ 91 Sunroof N/A 5-Speed. After I got the 89 I discovered it had been in a bad front end collision and the front frame rails were smashed in so I took all good parts off of it and put it on my 87...
ok well i did put 93 octane in and i have brand new rc injectors and cold start. otherwise maybe my ignition switch is bad and doesn't cut off the flow of electricity right away so it stays running.
I put in a 6 puck disc in my stock clutch and it's alot harder to start moving than it was with the stock disc. It likes to jerk. Is this normal with having a 6 puck in there? Also I just installed a brand new slave cylinder Beck Arnley I put about 50 miles on it and the boot ripped and my push...
I just rebuilt my 7M-GTE and got it in and running again. Timing is set at 10 deg. but when I turn it off it diesels out. The cams are in the right position so is the crank so don't bother throwing that out there. Is there an extra step to adjusting timing with the CPS other than just turning it...
i'm still working on it i need to figure out the proportioning valve situation then i can finish. i'm going to take some of the abs lines and just rebend them to work.
I took my ABS out because it didn't work and didn't feel like having it fixed and I just don't want it. My question is, are the non ABS and ABS proportioning valves the same, and if not can I still make the one I have work?
well i was planning on putting a metal headgasket on and arp head studs anyway so i'll do it right. but i think it was rebuilt recently because the cylinders are honed out you can see the cross etching. So I'll just put it together right and hopefully it'll run normal again.
when i did check the codes 52 knock sensor signal came up. when 52 was on on my other 87 it didn't do that, i ended up doing the rewire then it was all good. so i don't think its electronic. I think i'll get a headgasket kit put it back together with a titan 1.4mm arp head studs and greddy...
I just got the car. The plugs and wires are good they shouldn't have went out in a day. I tore the exhaust off to get the head off and the inside of the cat looked good. That just leaves the fuel filter, but also I don't see why it would run great one day and then the next day it run like ass.
I bought my car about a month ago and when I got it it ran fine. Then a couple days after I bought it, if I hit the gas to try to rev it a little it wouldn't rev freely like it should. It would rev really hard, like you could hold the gas part way down and it would seem like it was fighting just...
