sounds like your tps is out of adjustment or on the wrong way. this happened to me when i put a new engine in my first supra turbo. does it like basically stop doing anything until you shift into the next gear and it does it like that in every gear?
Hmmm.. that sounds like a legit idea that the throwout bearing arm is getting hung up on a burr or something on the input shaft. Suppose it would be worth the time and effort to pull it out and check it out.
I agree with Hvyman too on the beating on it but agreed when its a hydraulic problem its not that big of a deal as long as the clutch engages and disengages it shouldn't cause any problems mechanically.
The manual pedal swap is really easy. just pull out the pin from the brake pedal and the pedal will come out then just slide the manual one in place and put the pin back in. For the clutch pedal pull out the perforations on the black foam shit, and then the pedal bracket will bolt right in with...
It's not that hard to understand what the problem is. He said he shifts so obviously he clutched then he brought the clutch out and after he took his foot off the pedal went down by itself and popped back up.
As for a solution I would try to bleed the slave, maybe there is a little air in...
If you warped your block there is something wrong. you shouldn't have to pull your whole engine out, I just did a headgasket replacement on my cressida in my car it costed me about $400 for parts and I did everything myself. I bought an ebay gasket set and ARP head studs had my head cleaned and...
so i just took off my throttle linkages to put in my brushed stainless sparkplug galley cover, i put everything back together and now it idles at like 1400 rpms. before i took off the linkages it idled perfect. i realized that if i pull the throttle rod towards the throttle body the idle drops...
i was driving this girl out to the dragstrip one day in my 87 turbo and after the blow off valve went off a few times she said "this thing sounds like its going to break, is it supposed to do that?" i said yeah thats the blow off valve, the look on her face was priceless, lol
That has definately been my life as a supra owner. my first one i had for like 3 years and probably only got to put maybe 5000 miles on it the rest of the time it was out of commission.
guilty of this one, one day i was driving down one of our main roads and saw another supra going the other direction so i whipped a uturn but by the time i was able to do it and try to catch up i lost him.

don't bypass the connector, if anything either go to the dealer and order a new plug for the cps or get the wiring tool and pull the old wires out of the original plug snip the wire ends off and get the new spades that clip into the connector slide them into the connector they should stay in...
sorry forgot to say that it was a 7M-GE. Figured that most supra enthusiast would know that a cressida came only with the GE. But about the catalytic convertor theory I'm pretty sure thats whats going on. Thanks for the comment.
So I just replaced my head gasket on my 91 cressida. I have replaced many head gaskets on 7ms so please rule out stupidity on this. I replaced the stock head bolts with arp head studs, had my head cleaned and checked for warpage and it was within spec according to the tcrm. i cleaned the gasket...
