no problem. I just ordered one for mine awhile ago too. its funny how the factory hold downs always seem to be nonexistent when you buy a supra used. i think 4 out of my 5 supras i've owned didn't come with one.
If you want to go with greddy or tial cut out that section of pipe and get a short section of aluminum pipe and weld on a greddy flange or tial flange then weld that short section back in. polish it up and your good to go
alright yeah i was looking at it tonight and decided i would just drill a hole for the gte dipstick and tap and plug the cressida dipstick hole. thanks for the input guys!!!
Dude I'm not that stupid. I wouldn't have asked if it was in the same spot. It was a front sump oil pan so its located in the front. But thanks for your input.
So right now I'm in the process of building a forged GTE and in the meantime I'm throwing my turbo stuff onto my Cressida engine. I have all the issues worked out except how i should mount the dipstick. If anyone has done this or has any ideas that would be greatly appreciated.
Supras came with base coat clear coat. so whats happened to your car is your clearcoat is oxidized. you could try buffing it out by starting with wetsanding it with 2000 grit sandpaper then get a buffer and some buffing compound and buff it out. if that doesn't work you'll need it repainted.
go to driftmotion.com check out there kit i got it on mine it looks awesome and its a bolt in affair you just have to relocate you oil cooler and coolant overflow bottle
Yeah looks classic if its on an MK2 but not an MK3. Just my 2 cents. But do whatever floats your boat find a local graphic shop and show them what you want take the measurments and tell them to cut it out.
If your cam journals get out of spec its recommended to just get a new head because there are no bearings to replace. The only way it would be worth it is if you had it honed and polished then you would have to order new custom cams with the right cam journal sizes. I like CYFi6's idea though, I...
On a CT-26 it has an internal wastegate, the actuator is bolted to the bottom of the turbo. If that was stuck shut it would consistently build boost but if the actuator was bad it wouldn't allow you to build much boost because it would allow the wastegate flapper to stay part way open. If you...
I don't recommend welding a diff unless you're using it for drifting. They suck for daily driving. If you do, do it make sure you use atleast a 220 welder. I have built alot of Jeeps and welded a few diffs. The best way to make it really strong is throw chunks of metal in the open areas and weld...
Sorry guys I just started a new job and haven't had much time to do anything. As for the zip ties yes I would probably get some metal ties or get the industrial size ones from harbor freight they work awesome. My buddies front mount on his WRX is held up by the big industrial size ones. I might...
