i have a 1jz with a single turbo running 880cc injectors and a power fc. and all the supporting mods. fuel pump, fpr, etc..
With my TPS plugged in, my cars idle will bounce from 800 to 1500 rpm most times i stop. But i found that it happens even if it let off the gas while driving and press...
it runs. idles. runs rough, idles rough. but i believe all 6 to be firing. I know i have some vacumn leaks to fix and i gotta do something with the IACV. Hopefully it will idle better.
it seems like the engine is running super hot at idle.
But i know i need to change the oil. it is so fuelly...
Why does my harmonic balancer have two notches to indicate TDC. ANyways. guess which one i chose. The wrong one.

Now to solve why my afr's are 17-19 at idle. YIKES
If i take the plugs out and clean them off (usually full of black sooty fuel), and put them back in. it gets closer to running. i think its a not enough fuel problem.
Its pretty consistent in the fact that on the 9-10 crank is when it fires up.
My theory is. over the first 8 cranks or so...
I thought i had to get it running to check codes?
can i even check codes the same way as stock even thought i have a power fc?
Also. Tried stock ecu. doesn't run.
I thought it might atleast fire even though the injectors are way bigger than stock.

Jza70 connectors are the same as jzx81. all the ecu pinouts say "jza70/ jzx81 ecu pinout"
went through my harness.
On that jumper harness the one was de pinned so i had to improvise and i just wire connected it to the main harness. but i didn't do it right. i was reading the pinouts...
Ive even gone as extreme as checking the spark firing order.
It just seems like the injectors are firing at the wrong times or something.
The other thing i changed was.
this car used to have a mines ECU with a greddy emanage tapped in. when i got the power fc. I had to rip that crap out. and...
we tried lowering the fuel pressure already and playing with the settings on the injectors. I can't figure anything out.
I think the best thing at this point is to put my stock injectors and ecu back in and get it running like that
My buddy just told me he had it running while i was away for a moment. He said it only ran for about 20 seconds. but he got it to run by using his finger and the iacv and blocking and unblocking it, while playing with the throttle.
I think its the iacv. i pulled it and it was open. im not...
So i have a 1jz. I had it running since the rebuild over winter, but it only ran for 20 seconds then died, then i fixed the injector o ring leak i found. Now it won't start.
I have spark on all 6 plugs
I have fuel in all 6 cylinders
I have timing correct
I have 160-170 psi compression...
Ok i was a bit wrong. Maybe will keep the cooler. It reads roughly 80-90 degree Celsius, so about 174-194 Fahrenheit.
I just don't like the no thermostat for cool mornings, then it takes a while for oil to get hot
i have a one on my car. unsure of brand, came with car. but it doens't have a thermostat and my oil temps don't get high at all. it almost makes me want to get rid of oil cooler, but then i wonder how hot it would run with out them.
i did an 8 hour road trip, non stop and it never got hotter...
