Hi , This is mxmxer , 1985 NA Supra with a Turbo Block, 5mge Head, Automatic Trans.,Split Drive Shaft. Question: I get a clonk noise when I put the car into gear, park, reverse before I take off. Im not getting a whinning noise from the rear-end and I dont have any slop in the drive shaft when I try twisting it from left to right. This is a new car that I just started driving that I bought from a young boy that blew the motor from over heating the car and threw a rod threw the side of the block. The center carrier bearing looks like its been replaced. Another Question : I Believe that the motor I put in , 7m block, was decked because I had to take a good 1/8 to 3/16 off the top of the timing aluminum cover before the head would flush down onto the block.
