I have an 89 turbo (7MGTE)that is bone stock.The problem is that it is really hard to start,and when it does finally start it idles fine but will miss and hesitate as it starts to build boost.I have to run a jumper wire on the diag.box for the fuel pump to constently run or else it won't idle or run at all.I can here the fuel pump cut on and off with the ignition as I crank it without the jumper.Could it be the fuel pump or something else.I just replaced the FP 6 months ago.Also I have checked the following as well.
TPS.........OK
CPS.........OK
Timing......OK
Compression test....155-168lbs(1-6)
boost leaks.....none -
