I read the same article. It was good for a laugh, or a "no replacement for displacement" type person. But reading comments on that article, that specific car apparently was setup to have negative camber at full extension. So apparently, no stock cars don't do that.
I appreciate the tips! Mine is undergoing a full makeover, like usual found how much bad work previous owner actually did, so it keeps me busy! Thank you :)
Do you have any tips about repainting/filling in the engine bay? Moving the fuse box, and just overall cleaning it up like you did? Which, btw, looks like an EXCELLENT job!
Thank you.
Yes I have been searching and found out you need the different size water neck going from the water pump to the 1j head. (So far I have a big shopping list at DM waiting to check out lol). One more thing I've seen is the crank sensor on the 2j could have different teeth, but from...
I'm at a lost trying to find any information pertaining to making a 1.5jz. I have a 2jz-ge on the way and my 1jz is knocking. I want to get this car done as quick as possible but I haven't been able to find much regarding the 1.5 swap.
I've read one 1.5 build, but it wasn't very helpful...
Is there any fuel rails you guys prefer over another? I'm also shooting for 500ish and now debating going dual walboro instead of my single. Right now its running mkiv 550 injectors.
I'm in the same position. 91 1jz bought a week ago now its knocking. I can get a 2jz-ge for less then half of a full 1j. I was going to start a new thread but since this one is open I don't wanna clutter the forum.
I've been searching the last few days and can't find a definite guide or list...
I just installed a set of bi-xenon headlights. They're the 6k bosch, at least the ballasts are. First I did it without a relay but no luck. Only the passenger side headlight works on Hi, and the foglights work on Low. So I wire in the relay according to this diagram -...
I've been reading this thread for two days off of my phone and it's a headache but worth it!!! But not enough pictures :icon_bigg just teasing! Ish! This build is amazing. I can't think of much else that would fit. Even having the money to do something like this isn't near enough! All the...
If you haven't got your rad fixed yet I'd deff go for the Koyo. And upper rad hardpipe they look great together! (have them in mine and it stays COOL) also dual 12" flex-a-lites work great and strong.
What oil filter relocation kit did you use? Sorry if you already said but I probably skimmed...
Well I'm in the same boat about money and wanting the harness bar. Here's a secret - Zankoku Performance. He sells NRG harness bars for $165! Just go to Misc. Vendors and check out his first or second posting! Hope this helps!
Yea the Koyo rad deff looks better not polished in your car. Mine is polished but goes well with everything else that is polished :). Great work on the car! Hope to see it done soon. You've set me on buying the CF race seats from Grimsta too, $400 a piece can't be beat!
Lol damn I didn't think you'd be THAT close. Well when I get my car tagged and insured (hopefully within a week) maybe we could meet up? Not enjoying going into the winter months now nice weather is rare....
Well check this out, it's about a 12 hour drive (I've done it twice, not too bad) and if it needs more then HG then a GE engine is pretty cheap to come by...
